Victor joined Sparta in the summer of 2023 from Slovan Liberec. He made an instant impact in the European qualifiers. His debut goal came against Copenhagen, though it wasn’t enough to send us through to the Champions League play-offs. Two weeks later, however, he brilliantly controlled a pass from Pešek against Dinamo Zagreb, outmuscled the defender, and scored the goal that secured our spot in the Europa League group stage.

During the 2023/24 season, Victor added more goals to his tally. His two-goal performance against Slavia remains unforgettable. Those quarter-final goals helped us lift the domestic cup trophy later that season. The Nigerian forward also celebrated his first-ever league title.
At the start of last season, Olatunji was a regular starter under head coach Lars Friis. He played an important role in our journey to the Champions League group stage, where he scored twice. He especially shone in the first leg against Salzburg – netting one goal and assisting another for Qazim Laci.

In total, Victor Olatunji made 93 competitive appearances for Sparta, scoring 20 goals and providing 6 assists. He now takes his next step overseas.
Victor, thank you and good luck in the USA!
